The following graphs below show the results of the questionnaire:
1) Are you Male or Female?
The majority of particpiants which took part in my questionnaire were female. There were 11 Females and 9 Males.
2) How old are you?
I gave the questionnaires out to people aged between sixteen and eighteen. This way i would get a good view of what teenagers thgouht.
3) Would you read a music magazine?
Every particpant said yes they would read a music magazine, which helps me more becuase it tells me that they read music magazines.
4) On the front page of the magazine what would more attract you to it?
From this graph it shows me that a popluar artist would more attract the readers eye. I can also see that if i use big pictures it would more attract the readers eye.
Participants have also said that they would like to see a mix of pictures and info so i will be using this idea towards my music magazine.
5) What are your main reasons for buying a music magazine?
The particpants have shown that their main reasons for reading a magazine is to see the latest gossip, photography and latest music. So for my music magazine I am going to put a bit of gossip on the front cover to attract the customer. I will also use quite a bit of photography within the magazine.
6) What would you expect to see inside a music magazine?
From this graph it shows me that teenage readers would more expect to see celeb gossip, which i will be including in my magazine, music, which I will be including and also lastest fashion.
7) Whay colours would more attract your eye on the front cover?
From this graph it shows me that 'Black & Blue' would more attract the readers eye. So I will be taking this into consideration when choosing the colours on my front page. Pink was also quite popular, I may use this colour on the double page spread.
8) What type of music would you prefer the magazine to be about ?
From this graph it shows me that the particpants would more want to read a R&B magazine. So therefore I have decided to create a R&B magazine
9) Would you prefer a Male or Female artist on the front cover?
The majority of participants have said that they would prefer a Female artist on the front cover.
10) Do you prefer more photography than writting within a music magazine?
From this graph it shows me that readers would like to see more photos than writting. But as writting was also a big choice I will be doing a mix of both.
11) Would you want there to be competitions within the music magazine?
From this graph the majority said yes.
12) What would you prefer as the magazine name?
From this grpah it shows me that the participants would prefer the music magazine to be called "Vibe" or "King". So I will be taking this into consideration when i choose the name of my magazine.
13) Would you prefer an American artist or British artist on the front cover?
Particpants would rather see a American artist on the front cover than a British. So I am going to try to make my model look more American than British.
14) If you had to pay for the music magazine would you buy it?
Everyone that took this questionnaire said yes they would be prepared to pay for a music magazine.
15) How much would you be prepared to spend on a music magazine?
The majority of participants would spend bettween £1-£2 on a music magazine which shows their interests.
16) Would you prefer if the magazine came out monthly or every fortnight?
From this graph it shows me that the majority of participants would prefer if the magazine came out monthly rather than every fortnight.
